The “Enola Holmes” team keeps coming together for the sequel with Helena Bonham Carter set to reprise her role of Eudoria Holmes – mother of Sherlock, Mycroft and Enola.
The follow-up to Netflix’s hit 2020 film adaptation of Nancy Springer’s beloved books will see multiple other cast members returning including Millie Bobby Brown as Enola Holmes, Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes, and Louis Partridge as Tewksbury.
Also on board are David Thewlis, Susan Wokoma, Adeel Akhtar, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Hannah Dodd, Abbie Hern, Gabriel Tierney and Serrana Su-Ling Bliss. No word as yet whether Sam Claflin will return as Mycroft.
The story will once again focus on Enola, the rebellious teen sister of Sherlock who is a gifted super-sleuth in her own right and often outsmarts her famous siblings.
Harry Bradbeer (“Fleabag,” “Killing Eve”) directs from a script by Jack Thorne (“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”). Filming will take place shortly in London with Legendary and Netflix producing.
