Briarpatch & The Sinner
USA Network has set a February 6th premiere date for both the third season of “The Sinner” and the new ten-episode pulp crime series “Briarpatch” starring Rosario Dawson.
The eight-episode third season of “The Sinner” follows Detective Harry Ambrose (Pullman) as he begins a routine investigation of a tragic car accident on the outskirts of Dorchester that uncovers a hidden crime that pulls him into the most dangerous and disturbing case of his career.
“Briarpatch” sees Dawson playing Allegra Dill, a no-nonsense professional who returns to her quirky hometown to solve her sister’s murder. Jay R. Ferguson, Edi Gathegi, Brian Geraghty and Kim Dickens also star.
Little Fires Everywhere
Hulu has set a March 18th premiere date for “Little Fires Everywhere,” the forthcoming limited series adaptation of Celeste Ng’s novel starring Reese Witherspoon, Kerry Washington, Rosemarie DeWitt, Jesse Williams and Joshua Jackson.
The story follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives. It deals with the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood, and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster.
HBO has released a featurette for their limited series adaptation of Stephen King’s “The Outsider” with the clip starring King who explains what the viewers should expect to see in the new supernatural drama series. Richard Pryce, Ben Mendelsohn, and Cynthia Erivo also appear to discuss their characters. “The Outsider” debuts on January 12th.
