MGM is teaming with “Queen of Earth” and “Her Smell” director Alex Ross Perry for a new film adaptation of Stephen King 1989 horror novel “The Dark Half”.
The story follows best-selling author Thad Beaumont who sells grisly crime novels under the name George Stark. When his pseudonym is exposed, the author and his wife give the other author a ceremonial burial – resulting in George Stark coming alive and going on a murder spree.
George Romero helmed the previous film adaptation which starred Timothy Hutton and met mixed reviews and poor box-office.
