“Grand Theft Auto VI” Launch Trailer

Rockstar Games

Just four weeks out from release, Rockstar Games has premiered the launch trailer for “Grand Theft Auto VI”.

The clip offers a new look at the open-world game, with the trailer set to the song “Flower in a Hurricane” by score composers Justice and featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

In the game, Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America.

Stuck in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida, they are forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.

In a new interview with Bloomberg, studio heads Phil Hooker and Aaron Garbut indicate the next Rockstar title won’t be as long a wait as the tech created for this game will be utilised elsewhere:

Hooker: “The engine, the tools and the team we’ve built during this project will allow us to do things more quickly. I feel confident that we can build on top of this and go more sideways than upwards to build more compelling content.”

Garbut: “We foundationally changed a lot of stuff on this project. But now it’s done, and we’re not going to rip it apart.”

“Grand Theft Auto VI” will be released on November 19th, with a PC version possibly coming sometime next year.
