Gene Stupnitsky (“Good Boys,” “Jury Duty”) is in final negotiations to direct the Jennifer Lawrence-led romantic comedy “One Month Mark” at Apple Original Films and Chernin Entertainment.
The film explores the premise of what happens when a commitment-phobe meets a compulsive serial monogamist.
Lawrence will star in the film as a woman who has never lasted longer than a month in a relationship. The male lead will be a character who has never gone longer than a month without one. Cue relationship discussions and hijinks.
Sophie Fleur de Bruijn penned the script while Lawrence, Justine Ciarrocchi, David Ready and Peter Chernin will serve as producers.
The project went on sale this Summer and drew massive interest with over 40 producers vying to snag the project – even some genre labels who’ve never released a rom-com before.
Lawrence and Stupnitsky previously worked together on the comedy “No Hard Feelings”.
