Netflix has shared teaser trailers today for the long-awaited return of two of their highly acclaimed animated series for second seasons – “Blue Eye Samurai” and “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners”.
The second season of “Blue Eye Samurai” arrives in January and the clip teases Mizu’s dangerous mission in London, travelling with Abijah Fowler (Kenneth Branagh) whom she captured in the first season.
Fowler knows the other two men Mizu is searching for, making him an important part of her plan. Back in Japan, Akemi and Taigen face a dangerous new shogun at Edo Castle, while Ringo begins searching for a new purpose.
The series created and written by Amber Noizumi and Michael Green, who also serve as executive producers.
Meanwhile, the teaser for “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2” shows a return to Night City with a standalone story and fresh cast separate from the original 2022 series. All ten episodes release on the streamer on October 20th.
