Disney has premiered the teaser trailer for “The Bluey Movie” which sees the acclaimed smash-hit drawn animated series turn into a fully CG-animated film.
For those unaware, Bluey is a lovable and energetic Blue Heeler puppy who lives with her Mum, Dad and little sister Bingo in Queensland, Australia.
She uses her limitless energy and imagination to discover, laugh and play with all of her friends and family.
First announced in late 2024, the film is being written and directed by series creator Joe Brumm. Disney has global theatrical rights for the film.
Previously Brumm said: “I really enjoyed the experience of working with a longer format on ‘The Sign’ in Series 3, so going even further with a feature film feels like a natural extension of that. I’ve always thought ‘Bluey’ deserved a theatrical movie. I want this to be an experiential event for the whole family to enjoy together.”
“The Bluey Movie” will open in cinemas on August 6th 2027.
