Supergirl
DC and Warner Bros. have announced a July 28th digital release date for “Supergirl,” the title hitting PVOD just over one month since its theatrical release in late June.

In addition, it will come to 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD from September 8th. Over 90 minutes of behind-the-scenes materials will be included around nine featurettes and docos along with the “Krypto Saves the Day: Coastal Catastrophe” animated short and deleted scenes. [Source: WB]

EU Paramount-WBD
The European Commission has handed out conditional approval for Paramount Skydance’s takeover of Warner Brothers. The approval comes after Paramount offered to ⁠end a film ⁠distribution ​joint venture with Universal Pictures.

Paramount has 13 months from the date of closing the deal to pull out from the venture. In addition, Paramount should not directly or indirectly “enter into any agreement or understanding with Universal to jointly co-distribute films in the EEA” for a period of ten years. [Source: The Guardian]

Percy Jackson and the Olympians
A brief teaser trailer is out for the third season of the Disney+ “Percy Jackson” TV sseries. In the new run, outrunning monsters and outwitting gods, Percy must journey across America to return Zeus’ master bolt and stop an all-out war.

With the help of his quest mates Annabeth and Grover, Percy’s journey will lead him closer to the answers he seeks: how to fit into a world where he feels out of place, and find out who he’s destined to be. The series returns later this year.

Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO
Bandai Namco Filmworks have unveiled a first look at “Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO,” a new anime series in 2027 being crafted by legendary “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex” writer-director Kenji Kamiyama.

The story is set in an entirely new timeline and follows a group of young people born decades after an apocalyptic event that led humanity to abandon the planet. The protagonist is named Ray Azumi in the series with Sola Animation handling production.

Primetime
A September 25th release date has been set for the Robert Pattinson-led and Lance Oppenheim-directed “Primetime” which will first have its debut at the Venice Film Festival next month. Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, and Phoebe Bridgers also star.

The film follows NBC Dateline correspondent Chris Hansen in 2006 as he sets to make TV history with a TV series called “To Catch a Predator”. Ajon Singh pens the film while Pattinson and Brighton McCloskey produce. [Source: A24]
