Sacha Baron Cohen’s new Ali G movie has scored a title and a release date – and it’s sooner than you think.
Amazon MGM Studios is handling the film, which will be titled “Ali G: Who Iz I” and will release exclusively in cinemas on October 23rd.
Cohen announced the news in a video that he has posted online and can be seen below.
The project marks a re-teaming of Cohen with Amazon MGM Studios after they handled the release of his “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm,” which premiered on the service on October 2020 when cinemas were mostly closed.
Talk of the film emerged earlier this month when it was revealed production had already been completed on the film, which had been shot in secret.
The movie approximately 24 years after the 2002 feature film comedy “Ali G Indahouse”, which starred the likes of Martin Freeman, Charles Dance, Michael Gambon and Rhona Mitra among others.
