Reeves Confirms Returning “The Batman” Cast

Filmmaker Matt Reeves is readying his “The Batman Part II” to shoot imminently. Ahead of that, he’s started officially unveiling the cast.

Tonight, in a series of postings on X, Reeves confirmed the core cast of returnees – Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Colin Farrell as The Penguin and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth.

He’s also confirmed two other returnees – Jayme Lawson will return as Mayor Bella Reál, while Gil Perez-Abraham is back as Officer Martinez.

Reeves also confirms more announcements tomorrow, those are expected to put the focus on the new cast members for the film like Sebastian Stan as Harvey Dent, Scarlett Johansson as Gilda Dent, and Charles Dance as Christopher Dent, among others.

It’s expected that both Paul Dano and Barry Keoghan will return as The Riddler and The Joker respectively, but that hasn’t been confirmed.

“The Batman: Part II” is currently on track for an October 1st 2027 release.
