Veteran actress Meg Foster (“They Live,” “The Osterman Weekend”) is returning to the He-Man universe with the actor taking on a key role in Kevin Smith’s animated series “Masters of the Universe: Revolution” – the second season of the sequel series that began with ‘Revelation’ in 2021.
Foster played the part of Evil-Lyn in the live-action “Masters of the Universe” movie in 1987. In ‘Revolution,’ Foster will now provide the voice of the character Motherboard – an ancient sorceress of technology in the fight for the soul of Eternia.
She joins an ensemble voice cast led by Chris Wood as Prince Adam/He-Man, Mark Hamill as Skeletor, Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, Liam Cunningham as Man-at-Arma, Griffin Newman as Orko, Alicia Silverstone as Queen Marlena and Stephen Root as Cringer. In addition, Melissa Benoist is taking over the role of Teela from Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Speaking about her role in the new incarnation, she says:
“My part in Masters of the Universe more than 35 years ago remains one of my most cherished roles. I am both thrilled and honored to come back into the fold to embody a brilliant, all-new villainous character that adds color to the vibrant storytelling that Kevin Smith and Mattel have brought to life for fans around the world.”
Kevin Smith serves as the showrunner for the series written by Marc Bernadin, Eric Carrasco, Diya Mishra, and Tim Sheridan. Powerhouse Animation handles the animation.
