Details on EA’s long-awaited fourth title in the “Skate” game series has been announced by developer Full Circle and it’s going to be a live-service free-to-play simply titled “Skate”.
The plan is for a constantly evolving world with community-created content that’s easy for everyone to play. The title is still in very early stages and is getting a lot of fan feedback very early in the process to build out what they plan to be available at launch.
There will be microtransactions which are going to be about cosmetics and convenience with the developers stating clearly it’s “not a pay-to-win game” with no gameplay areas hidden exclusively behind a paywall and no gameplay altering advantages available to purchase.
The title will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, with crossplay and cross-progression. A mobile version is being explored too.
