As part of Sony’s State of Play event, Capcom has offered a new look at “Street Fighter 6” including its very different ‘World Tour’ mode which resembles an open-world game.
That mode is dubbed a “single-player immersive story mode that pushes the boundaries of what a fighting game is and allows you to leave your own legacy within Street Fighter 6 with your player avatar”.
The trailer also showed typical 2D fighting the series is known for as new versions of classic characters like Ryu and Chun-Li are seen.
There’s also a multiplayer Battle Hub, a new Drive System meter for experienced fighters, more assists for newcomers, and a real-time commentary system.
The game is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2023.
