AMC Studios is developing a new drama series based on “Annihilation” author Jeff VanderMeer’s sci-fi novel “Borne”.
The three novel series is set in a post-apocalyptic future. The story follows a scavenger named Rachel who lives in a ruined city of the future destroyed by an evil company.
Her life changes when she suddenly discovers a strange creature that she decided to keep, despite her companion’s warnings and her own reservations.
VanderMeer will executive produce and serve as a creative consultant. Paramount Pictures previously attempted to make a film version of the tale but that version appears to have stalled.
