Fey Samberg Set For Murder Mystery Comedy

Fans of “30 Rock,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “The Good Place” will be interested to hear that many key actors from those shows are set to appear in the new murder-mystery comedy series “The Mapleworth Murders” on the soon to launch streaming service Quibi.

Created by and starring SNL veterans Paula Pell and John Lutz, the show is a sendup of small-town crime shows (ala “Murder, She Wrote”) and stars Pell as mystery writer Abigail Mapleworth who solves crimes in her quaint hometown of New Woodstream.

Each episode will feature guest victims and suspects, but also deal with the larger question of just why a small town like this has such a high homicide rate.

Tina Fey, Andy Samberg, Maya Rudolph, Ike Barinholtz, Wanda Sykes, Chris Parnell, Terry Crews, J.B. Smoove, Fred Armisen, Tim Meadows, Hayley Magnus, Patton Oswalt, Jack McBrayer, D’Arcy Carden, Pam Murphy, Mary Holland, Annie Mumolo and Jimmy Carlson are all set to appear as either guest stars or regulars.

Claire Scanlon is directing while Pell, Lutz, Lorne Michaels, Seth Meyers, Andrew Singer and Mike Shoemaker executive produce.
