Production is officially underway on “Cherry,” the new film from “Avengers: Infinity War” helmers Joe & Anthony Russo and starring Tom Holland.
Holland has sent social media reeling in the past 48 hours with photos of his new shaved head look for the film in his role as Nico Walker, a former Army medic who returned from Iraq with extreme un-diagnosed PTSD and fell into opioid addiction and began robbing banks.
Walker was caught in 2011 and is scheduled to be released in 2020 and previously handled the bidding war for his book while serving time in prison. The project is said to be quite adult in tone and both Jessica Goldberg (“The Path”) and Angela Otstot (“The Shield”) adapted the script.
Hideaway Entertainment and AGBO Films are producing the feature which co-stars Ciara Bravo, Bill Skarsgard, Jack Reynor, Forrest Goodluck, Jeff Wahlberg, Michael Gandolfini and Kyle Harvey.
