“Jurassic” Sequel Soaring High Overseas

Though it doesn’t open States-side until this Friday, “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” has been out in select global markets for over a week now as the film, nabbing $151 million last weekend and scoring a further $173.6 million this weekend (with $112 million of it from China).

That brings the film’s international box office total through Sunday to $370 million. The haul comes as “Incredibles 2” also opened in to select offshore markets this past weekend where it made $51.5 million from twenty-five countries on top of its record breaking $180 million domestic opening.

Estimates for the domestic opening of “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” look as though the film will bring in $140-150 million over the three days, behind the record setting $208.8 million opening of “Jurassic World”.
