Netflix has released the full trailer for Zac Efron as serial killer Ted Bundy in the upcoming indie feature “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile” from Voltage Pictures and Cota Films.
Joe Berlinger helms from Michael Werwie’s Nicholl Fellowship-winning script with the film premiering at Sundance to solid reviews.
The story is told from the POV of Elizabeth Kloepfer (Lily Collins), Bundy’s longtime girlfriend, who went years denying the accusations against Bundy but ultimately turned him into the police.
Only nearing his execution, when Bundy began talking about the true scope of his crimes, did Kloepfer and the rest of the world learn the truth. John Malkovich, Jim Parsons, Angela Sarafyan, Jeffrey Donovan, Kaya Scodelario, and Haley Joel Osment co-star.
“Extremely Wicked, Shocking Evil and Vile” will premiere on the service May 3rd.
