“Zootopia 2” Intl. Trailer, Dwayne Johnson Joins

Disney

Dwayne Johnson will be joining Disney’s upcoming animated feature “Zootopia 2” as the voice of the character Zeke.

The role is described as an accident-prone dik-dik who meets with a musical mishap during Judy and Nick’s high-speed pursuit gone awry.

The studio has also released a new international trailer for the long-awaited sequel, which hits nearly ten years after the original.

After cracking the biggest case in Zootopia’s history, rookie cops Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman) find their partnership isn’t as solid as they thought when Chief Bogo (voice of Idris Elba) orders them to join the Partners in Crisis counseling program.

But it doesn’t take long for their partnership to be put to the ultimate test when they find themselves on the twisting trail of a mystery tied to the arrival of a venomous snake named Gary De’Snake (voiced by Ke Huy Quan) who turns the mammal metropolis upside down.

Also joining the cast are Fortune Feimster as a beaver named Nibbles and Quinta Brunson as quokka therapist Dr. Fuzzby. Singer Shakira returns as the pop star Gazelle along with a whole host of animals from the first film.

“Zootopia 2” is written and directed by Jared Bush, while Byron Howard is a co-director. It opens November 26th.
