“Zack Snyder’s Justice League” Trailer & Layout

Following its DC Fandome panel, and a brief leak of it online earlier today, the trailer has officially arrived for “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” – the ‘Snyder Cut’ version of the 2017 feature.

Snyder also officially confirmed the layout of this version will be a four hour mini-series of four one-hour episodes each, as well as an eventual four-hour single film version. In addition, they are working on a distribution plan to bring the work to audiences worldwide.

The clip showcases almost all new footage not released in previous trailers (though there’s some re-tread of the first teaser) and doesn’t hold back – Darkseid, a more severe Steppenwolf, Superman in his black suit, more scenes emphasising Wonder Woman’s humanity and Aquaman’s loner status, etc. While some shots are more like alternate takes, others look like some whole new sequences.

Snyder says Cyborg will get much more screentime as he “is the heart of the movie. He’s the thing that holds the team together in the end. I’m excited for fans to see how that’s realised on camera.” The Flash also gets “tons” more time as we see more of his emotional arc, and “you’re going to see something with Flash in this film that I don’t think you’ve ever seen… he’s a quantum character, so you might see him do something…”

Snyder made headlines earlier this morning for the wrong reasons following the trailer’s leak. When a writer complained that the trailer seemed comprised of “alternate takes,” Snyder called him out on it in front of his large readership saying: “You said you enjoyed the theatrical cut of Justice League like you enjoy your Saturday morning cartoons. Well this is made for grownups, so you’re not in the demographic. Also, cool of you to comment on a leaked teaser.”
