Zack Snyder Teases Darkseid’s Arrival

Filmmaker Zack Snyder has taken to Twitter to tease another glimpse of his upcoming new cut of “Justice League,” this time showing off the villain Darkseid – albeit blurry and in the distance. Snyder revealed the shot previously, but only in black and white.

The theatrical cut has a flashback scene where the villain Steppenwolf is introduced in a battle scene in the past over the Mother Boxes. Originally though, the scene was meant to have a young Darkseid (aka Uxas) be the villain who was waging war against Amazons, Atlanteans, and the Green Lanterns Corps.

The shot seems to be from the original sequence. The film was drastically altered when Snyder was replaced by Joss Whedon during post-production which led to the active campaign for the release of The Snyder Cut of “Justice League” years.

“Zack Snyder’s Justice League” hits HBO Max in 2021.
