Netflix has premiered the trailer for the second half of the fourth season of “You,” its serial killer thriller series which saw Penn Badgley’s Joe Goldberg having moved to London in the first part of the new season.
Despite vowing to put his days of murder behind him, he finds himself at the center of yet another mystery when the members of his posh new friend group start turning up dead.
With four victims having already dropped in the first part, there’s no sign of the body count slowing as in the clip Joe confronts the killer who sees Joe as a kindred spirit. So be advised this trailer gives away the identity of the killer for those who haven’t seen the first part.
The trailer also sees the return of Victoria Pedretti as Love Quinn, Joe’s estranged wife who was seemingly poisoned and framed for double homicide at the end of last season. The remaining five episodes will go to air on March 9th.
The release follows days of conversation in film circles spawned by interview comments by Badgley who revealed he had expressed a strong dislike of filming any more intimate scenes for the show saying to Podcrushed: “Fidelity in every relationship, especially in a marriage, is important to me.”
As a result, he successfully convinced showrunner Sera Gamble to essentially cut them right down from frequent in the first few seasons, to next to nothing in the fourth season.
