“Yellowstone” S5 To Be Split In Half

Yellowstone S4 Sets November Launch
Paramount Network

The planned fifth season of Taylor Sheridan’s smash hit series “Yellowstone” is being expanded and split in half in order to better build the show’s interconnected universe.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the new run of the series will consist of fourteen episodes split into two seven-episode halves. In addition, each half will be used to tease one of the new spin-off shows in the works for the Paramount+ service.

The first part, arriving this Summer, will tease the Sylvester Stallone-led “The Tulsa King” series which goes to air this Fall. The second part, airing this Fall, will be used to help launch the “1932” spin-off.

In addition, the “6666” series missing from the announcements yesterday is still in the works but hasn’t set a date. That series, named after the Four Sixes ranch in Texas, is expected to premiere as a stand-alone series on Paramount Network in late 2022 or 2023.
