“Yellowstone” S5 Launch Is Its Biggest Yet

Paramount Network

The return of “Yellowstone” was an unsurprising smash hit for the Paramount Network on Sunday night, racking up a ratings record.

In Live+Same Day, the fifth-season premiere delivered a cumulative viewership of 12.1 million across all platforms – the biggest overnight launch yet for the series, according to Nielsen.

The show also posted double-digit gains in all demographics, particularly among adults 18-34, which saw a growth of 52% from last season’s premiere. The episode delivered a cumulative 5.6 rating among adults 18-49.

8.8 million reportedly tuned into the main broadcast on Paramount Network, the rest coming from encore telecasts and simulcast airings on CMT, TV Land and Pop.

The premiere was coupled with the launch of Taylor Sheridan’s “Tulsa King” series starring Sylvester Stallone, but ratings for that are not yet available.
