Yellowstone S4 Finale Ratings Break Records

The Paramount network’s megahit neo-western drama “Yellowstone” closed out its fourth season on Sunday and according to Nielsen, the show’s ratings are continuing to shatter records.

In Live+Same Day statistics, viewership was up 79% compared to the third season finale – 10.3 million viewers tuning in on the day of the broadcast compared to the 5.8 million for the third season finale.

In terms of per Live+Same Day numbers, the episode was the most-watched telecast on cable since the third season premiere of “The Walking Dead” back in 2017. The series is also starting to pull in younger audiences with the new season reportedly almost doubling its viewer count in the 18-49 demo.

The Taylor Sheridan-produced series was joined by the prequel spin-off “1883” a few weeks ago with that series proving to be a major hit on Paramount+ according to the streamer itself. The fourth season of “Yellowstone” will also be coming to disc on March 8th.
