Xbox Raising New Game Prices To $70

Microsoft

Xbox is preparing to join other major games publishers and raise the price of its major new first-party titles from $60 to $70.

Starting next year, games built for Xbox Series X|S like “Forza Motorsport,” “Redfall” and “Starfield” will cost $69.99 USD at launch.

Regional pricing may differ, and specifics for countries outside the U.S. aren’t yet available. A Microsoft spokesperson tells IGN:

“This price reflects the content, scale, and technical complexity of these titles. As with all games developed by our teams at Xbox, they will also be available with Game Pass the same day they launch.”

Sony, Ubisoft, and Take-Two Interactive have previously announced $70 price points for certain new games so Xbox following suit isn’t surprising.
