Following their successful pairing in “The Wolf of Wall Street,” actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill are attached to re-team in “The Ballad of Richard Jewell”.
A film adaptation of a Vanity Fair article that 20th Century Fox has just acquired, no writer or director is attached at this time.
The story follows a security guard (Hill) who reported on the knapsack bomb at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and helped clear bystanders – only to find himself vilified and suspected of being involved in the plot. DiCaprio would play his lawyer.
DiCaprio, Hill, Kevin Misher and Jennifer Davisson Killoran will produce.
