Actor John Jarratt has revealed that both a third “Wolf Creek” film and a third season in the tie-in TV series are in the works.
Jarratt plays the murderous Mick Taylor in the Australian outback-set horror franchise which hails from writer/director Greg McLean. The first film hit in 2005 with the second arriving in 2014 and the TV show kicking off in 2016.
In a Facebook post this week, Jarratt says he and McLean are working on both projects though it’s unclear when they might begin production:
“Hey guys! Let’s have a little chat about the return of our old mate Uncle Mick… To my delight, I have received an overwhelming amount of messages about Wolf Creek 3 the season and the movie. Greg McLean and I have both projects in the works but unfortunately [the situation] has the world at a standstill. I promise to keep you updated as we all try our best to get through these tough times.”
McLean, who penned and directed both movies as well as episodes of the show, previously said in 2018 that “Wolf Creek 3” would happen. McLean’s other works include croc tale “Rogue” and the underrated Daniel Radcliffe-led “Jungle”.
