Kate Winslet will star in “I Am Ruth,” the first feature-length episode of UK Channel 4’s award-winning female-led drama anthology series “I Am”.
Winslet and her real-life daughter Mia Threapleton will appear in the episode which is set to start filming at the end of April.
It marks part of the third season of a show which creates only three episodes per season with each episode centered around a different female character developed in a creative partnership with the leading actors.
Vicky McClure, Gemma Chan, Samantha Morton, Suranne Jones, Letitia Wright and Lesley Manville each served as the main character in the six episodes to have aired to date.
Further cast and narrative details for the third season are to follow in the series which explores the experience of women in moments that are emotionally raw, thought-provoking and personal.
