Closing out our Disney+ day coverage comes a look at some of the new TV series coming to the service from Pixar and others.
Warwick Davis was on hand to introduce the cast of the “Willow” sequel series in a genuinely fun clip with actors Ellie Bamber, Dempsey Bryk, Amer Chadha-Patel, Erin Kellyman, Tony Revolori and Ruby Cruz all engaging in the schtick.
The series sees a princess (Cruz) assembling a party to join her on her quest to rescue her twin brother – including Davis’ Nelwyn dwarf sorcerer Willow Ufgood. Filming has been underway in Wales since June.
Walt Disney Animation Studios has also announced “Tiana,” a long-form animated musical series sequel to “The Princess and the Frog”. Stella Meghie (“The Photograph”) will serve as director and writer on the show coming in 2023.
In the series, Tiana sets off for a grand new adventure as the newly crowned Princess of Maldonia, but a calling to her New Orleans past isn’t far behind.
