After skipping out her most recent film “First Cow,” actress Michelle Williams and filmmaker Kelly Reichardt will reunite once again for Reichardt’s next feature “Showing Up”.
A24 has boarded the film with Williams attaching herself to star – making it the two women’s fourth feature together following “Wendy and Lucy,” “Meek’s Cutoff” and “Certain Women”.
Reichardt and Jon Raymond penned the script about an artist on the verge of a career-changing exhibition. As she navigates family, friends, and colleagues in the lead up to her show, the chaos of life becomes the inspiration for great art.
Filming aims to begin this coming summer ahead of a 2022 release. Neil Kopp, Anish Savjani, and Vincent Savino will produce.
