The first one-sheet has been released for “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” the Whitney Houston biopic starring “Star Wars” actress Naomi Ackie as the late famed singer.
The film will deal with Houston’s career and life. Houston was the most awarded female music artist of all time and is one of the best-selling recording artists of all time, though struggled with issues of addiction and tragically died in 2012.
Kasi Lemmons directs the film which also stars Stanley Tucci, Ashton Sanders, Tamara Tunie, Nafessa Williams, and Clarke Peters. Anthony McCarten (“Bohemian Rhapsody”) penned the film which is targeting a December 21st release.
