Bradley Whitford will join Giancarlo Esposito and Skeet Ulrich in the AMC series “Parish,” a remake of the UK series “The Driver”.
The six-episode series follows a New Orleans taxi driver named Gracián ‘Gray’ Parish (Esposito), whose life is turned upside down when he agrees to chauffer a Zimbabwean gangster involved in human trafficking.
Whitford will play a recurring character named Anton, the face of Louisiana’s industrial business who secretly heads a criminal organization in dispute with the gangster and who butts heads with Esposito’s Parish.
Ulrich pays an old acquaintance of Parish, Bonnie Mbuli plays the gangster’s smart older sister, while Paula Malcomson, Ivan Mbakop, Arica Himmel, Dax Rey and Amanda Bruel co-star.
Theo Travers serves as executive producer and showrunner of the U.S. take, while Esposito, Danny Brocklehurst, and Sunu Gonera will all executive produce. The series premieres in 2023.
