Ahead of its still undated second season premiere, Amazon has handed an early third season renewal for its fantasy epic series “The Wheel of Time”.
The renewal order was unveiled during the show’s Comic-Con presentation and will be based on the fourth book from Robert Jordan’s fantasy novel series – “The Shadow Rising”. That book showrunner Rafe Judkins dubs as his favorite of the fourteen-novel run.
The first season of the series consisted of eight episodes and premiered in November. The tale unfolds in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists but only women can use it.
Rosamund Pike, Daniel Henney, Zoe Robins, Madeleine Madden, Josha Stradowski, and Marcus Rutherford co-star.
