HBO Max To Remove “Westworld,” “Nevers”

The HBO Max cuts just got real deep.

Warner Bros. Discovery is reportedly pulling both the recently cancelled “Westworld” and the Joss Whedon-created sci-fi drama “The Nevers” from its service. The timetable of when is not clear and both are still on the service as of time of this article’s writing.

The removals come hot on the heels of several other removals today, including “Love Life” after two seasons, and the axing of “Minx” as it was in the midst of production of its second season.

“The Nevers” aired the six-episode first part of its first season in April & May last year, with the already shot back half of the first season originally set to debut next year. The fate of those episodes is currently unknown, but sources for the trade suggest they could air on another service.

“Westworld” was cancelled by HBO in early November, just under three months after the fourth season finale on August 14th. The removal of shows from HBO Max allows Warner Bros. Discovery to save money on residuals paid to cast and crews of productions.
