Weinstein Sued For Sex Trafficking Violation

The Harvey Weinstein scandal is now entering the civil court arena with actress Kadian Noble filing a federal suit on Monday against the former mogul.

The lawsuit accuses Weinstein of violating sex trafficking laws by luring her to a room at the Le Majestic Hotel in Cannes in 2014 where he allegedly assaulted her on the pretense of casting her in a movie.

Once there, she alleges Weinstein started massaging her, groped her breasts and buttocks, and then trapped her in the bathroom and forced her to masturbate him until he ejaculated on the floor. Bob Weinstein and the Weinstein Company are also named as defendants in the suit.

Weinstein’s representative have issued a statement: “Mr. Weinstein denies allegations of non-consensual sex. Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances.”

The lawsuit is the second filed against Weinstein on yesterday following one in the United Kingdom alleging repeated sexual assaults in 2000. Also this week the Directors Guild of America has expelled disgraced ex-mogul Harvey Weinstein, more than a month after announcing it had launched disciplinary proceedings.
