It has taken five years, but Ryan Murphy’s FX anthology series “Feud” is finally getting a second season with two key talents onboard.
Naomi Watts has signed on to star whilst Gus Van Sant is onboard to direct the entire eight-episode run of the new season which will be based on Laurence Leamer’s book “Capote’s Women”.
Watts will play famed socialite Barbara ‘Babe’ Paley, a New York socialite and friend of Truman Capote until he published excerpts of his unfinished tell-all novel “Answered Prayers” about the city’s elite.
Jon Robin Baitz will write the new season and serve as showrunner. No further cast is attached at this time.
Sigourney Weaver played a version of Paley alongside Toby Jones as Capote in 2006 film “Infamous” which was about the writing of Capote’s most famed novel “In Cold Blood”.
