Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled its plans for its LEGO movie slate with several key release date announcements.
First up the currently untitled “LEGO Batman Movie” is targeting a February 10th 2017 release date, the same early February weekend that “The LEGO Movie” had such success in last year.
Later in 2017, the LEGO “Ninjago” movie is scheduled for a September 22nd release – a push back of almost a year from the rough Fall 2016 release date that was previously being targeted.
Then, the official “The LEGO Movie Sequel” has been moved up a week and is now slated to open May 18th 2018.
U.S. Warner Bros. Pictures domestic distribution president Dan Fellman says: “These three films already in the pipeline are just the beginning of a creative and diverse animation slate that will be delighting audiences for years to come.”
No word on who will direct any of these three films at this present time.
