Warner Bros. Home Video has set an October 26th release date for the massive 31-disc Middle-Earth Ultimate Collector’s Edition box-set containing Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings” trilogies.
Priced at $249.99, the boxset features the theatrical and extended versions of all six films in 4K Ultra HD (with Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos) and on Blu-ray Discs remastered from the 4K master – a process overseen by Peter Jackson.
The Ultimate Edition also includes bonus content never before released for home entertainment and comes in ‘Puzzle Box’ collectible packaging with a 64-page booklet. The original Cannes Film Festival presentation reel and footage from the recent Alamo Drafthouse cast reunion are also included.
