Warner Bros. Pictures and RatPac Entertainment have acquired the film rights to Harlan Coben’s mystery novel “Missing You” on the eve of its release.
The story follows a NYPD detective who, whilst browsing an online dating site, discovers the profile and photo of the ex-fiance who dumped her eighteen years ago.
She soon begins to unravel an intricate catfish scheme led by a calculating killer. Brett Ratner will produce.
Coben’s “Tell No One” was previously adapted into a French film of the same name in 2006 and is currently getting a new adaptation by “Argo” scribe Chris Terrio. A film version of his “Six Years” is currently in development at Paramount.
