The tenth season finale of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” has been suddenly postponed. Originally slated to air April 12th, the episode will now be held back and will air as a special event episode later in 2020.
AMC said in a statement says: “Current events have unfortunately made it impossible to complete post-production of ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 10 finale, so the current season will end with its 15th episode on April 5. The planned finale will appear as a special episode later in the year.”
The delay comes as the coronavirus pandemic has not only shut down production, but has led to many post-production staffers shifting to working from home and delivering assets to studios where possible.
This news comes as new series “Walking Dead: World Beyond” has also delayed its originally intended April 12th bow. No specific airdate for that series premiere has been set beyond that it will air later this year.
