“Walking Dead” S10 Extended, S11 Delayed

AMC’s zombie apocalypse series “The Walking Dead” is re-tooling its plans due to the global pandemic.

Appearing earlier today on the pre-recorded TWD panel for Comic-Con@Home, showrunner Angela Kang confirms the eleventh season has been postponed and won’t come this October. Instead something else is going to take place.

Fifteen of the usual sixteen episodes of the tenth season have aired to date, with only the season finale left stuck in limbo. Now, that finale will air on October 4th along with the series premiere of the new spin-off “The Walking Dead: World Beyond”.

At the same time, an extra six episodes of the tenth season have ordered and are expected to arrive in 2021. More details on that extension are coming shortly.

Kang says an eleventh season writers room is well underway remotely, though it’s not clear when that will go into production let alone airing. In addition, Lauren Cohan is 100% confirmed to be returning to the show.

The same panel also confirmed the sixth season of spinoff “Fear The Walking Dead” will debut on October 11th. Check out a sneak peek at the finale, the ‘Fear’ S6 premiere and a new ‘World Beyond’ trailer in the clips below.
