Following last night’s premiere, AMC has released a ‘This Season On’ trailer for “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” with a look at the remaining five episodes of the French-set horror spin-off of the zombie series.
The series sees Daryl (Norman Reedus) on his dangerous journey across a broken but resilient France after he washes ashore there with no memory of how or why he’s there. As he makes the journey, though, the connections he forms along the way complicate his plan.
Co-starring are Clemence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebouaney, Laika Blanc Francard, Romain Levi and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi.
As the premiere revealed, Daryl is on a mission to take a young boy named Laurent from southern France to Paris. The kid is prophesied as a potential messiah, and while Daryl doesn’t believe it, he has been promised a way home as payment.
The trailer also shows off a glimpse of zombie variants to come in the new spin-off, including fast zombies and ‘burner’ zombies with acidic skin and blood.
The series is executive produced by David Zabel, who is also set as the showrunner. Producers include Reedus, Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, Angela Kang, and Daniel Percival. New episodes air Sunday.
