“Wakanda Forever” Skips End Credits Scene

Marvel’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” looks to be the most serious Marvel film since “Avengers: Endgame” and one of its most emotional with a heavy sense of grief.

That’s partly why the film will only boast a mid-credits stinger with no extra end-credits scene to be included. End credits scenes on Marvel films have generally either been used for a last-minute joke or as a tease for the next Marvel film.

Speaking with the Phase Zero podcast, the film’s producer Nate Moore revealed they opted out of the traditional MCU end-credits scene. Moore told the outlet it came down to the different feeling of the film overall:

“Obviously, the way that this movie is a bit different, and the tone of this movie is a bit different, and it felt especially, once people see the film, we felt the ending was kind of poetic.

To then go back and say, ‘Hey, there’s a tag at the end credits’ felt a little disingenuous tonally from what we were doing. Much like ‘Endgame’ didn’t have a tag, this didn’t feel like a movie that needed it.”

Though there isn’t an end-credits scene, the film does boast a mid-credits scene which is said to have an ‘exciting tease’.

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” arrives in theaters on November 11th. Several new clips from the film are available below:
