Filmmaker Taika Waititi recently wrapped production on “Thor: Love & Thunder” ahead of its planned release early next Summer.
Speaking with The Sydney Morning Herald recently, the New Zealand helmer affirms that the new film goes way further into the eccentric and the insane than his previous entry “Thor: Ragnarok”.
He was also asked about potentially returning for a fifth film to which he says:
“Who knows if we do another one after this but I definitely feel like we put everything – every idea and every single ridiculous concept or gag or stunt or character – into this film. I couldn’t be happier with it… I think this might be funnier. Everything we did with Ragnarok, we’ve just multiplied it.”
The new film sees not only Chris Hemsworth returning as the God of Thunder, but Natalie Portman also back as Jane Foster who will be taking on the mantle of The Mighty Thor.
Christian Bale, Russell Crowe, Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, Jeff Goldblum, Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Sam Neill, Matt Damon and Vin Diesel are also back.
“Thor: Love & Thunder” is slated to arrive in cinemas on May 6th 2022.
