Ahead of the premiere of the six-part event series adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s “Good Omens” next month, Amazon Prime Video has released the music video “Brand New Baby Smell” which hails from talented acappella satanic nun choir group The Chattering Order of St. Beryl.
The song tribute was written “to celebrate the moment when the order realized their true purpose – to switch the new born baby Antichrist with the baby of an American Ambassador. Armed with privilege and education, he is being protected till he recognises his true power and brings forth the End Times with devastating abandon.”
Plenty of pop culture references are hidden in the video from Polanski’s masterpiece to Pet Shop Boys to Bohemian Rhapsody and more and these nuns promise if you find them all you will be damned for eternity.
The BBC Studios adaptation is set to launch globally on Amazon Prime Video starting May 31st and will premiere on BBC Two in the UK. Michael Sheen, David Tennant, Jon Hamm, Jack Whitehall, Mark Gatiss, Derek Jacobi, Michael McKean, Nick Offerman and Miranda Richardson star.
