Viola Davis is set to reprise her “The Suicide Squad” role of Amanda Waller in her own spin-off series in the works at HBO Max.
Davis played the role in David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad,” James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad” and appeared in two cameos in “Peacemaker”.
The series will build off of the events of the end of the first season of “Peacemaker” with Waller having to deal with the consequences of her daughter’s actions.
Davis will executive produce the series in addition to starring while Christal Henry (“Watchmen”) will write and executive produce.
