More photos from the Canadian set of HBO’s “The Last of Us” TV series have gone online via TLOU News, one showing star Pedro Pascal in his Joel outfit hanging around.

Others show some of the production design of the Boston setting in the series, albeit a city now in ruin and disarray as vines and fauna have started to overgrow everything.

The series unfolds twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel and Ellie, a pair connected through the harshness of the world they live in, are forced to endure brutal circumstances and ruthless killers on a trek across a post-pandemic America.

The ten-episode series began production in July in Calgary and is currently filming in Edmonton with part of the Alberta Legislature building covered in overgrowth and set up for night shoots. Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna, Nico Parker, Anna Torv, Jeffrey Pierce, Murray Bartlett, Con O’Neill and Merle Dandridge co-star.

Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions are backing the project which will film through until June next year and is expected to air late 2022 on HBO.
