Unpublished Crichton Works Getting Adapted

The estate of the late author Michael Crichton has done a deal with Range Media Partners to develop TV series and film adaptations of unpublished manuscripts the author left behind when he passed in 2008.

His widow Sherri Crichton will help develop these projects along with producing partner Laurent Bouzereau. No specific projects were announced, but it will include numerous shows and a “major screen event” adapting material from the Crichton archives.

Many of Crichton’s most famed works have already been adapted to film including “Jurassic Park,” “Rising Sun,” “Disclosure,” “The Andromeda Strain,” “Congo,” “Sphere,” “The Great Train Robbery,” “The Lost World,” “Timeline,” “The Terminal Man,” “Eaters of the Dead” (which became “The 13th Warrior”).

Seven of his novels remain unadapted including three published posthumously. Crichton also wrote and directed the films “Westworld” and “Coma,” and created the series “ER”.
