One highly visible difference between actor Tom Holland’s “Spider-Man” films and the upcoming film adaptation of the “Uncharted” game series, is that in the latter we’ll get to see a lot more of his face during action sequences.

It’s a small change on screen, but a big one to the way the star approached the film. Speaking with GQ recently as one of their ‘Men of the Year,’ the British thesp admits the “Uncharted” film “absolutely broke me” and explains why:

“I never realized how lucky I am that Spider-Man wears a mask, because when he’s bouncing around and flying from buildings, that’s all CG. In Uncharted it’s just me in a henley and cargo pants.

I was going to the gym in the morning like, ‘Oh, my God, I’ve must have torn something in my leg,’ and the guys were like, ‘You haven’t, you’re just tired and you’re getting older.'”

Holland also revealed that upon first meeting Mark Wahlberg, who was ‘twice his size,’ he spent the next five months dedicated to eating and training while in lockdown.

Meanwhile, another on-screen superhero, former Superman star Henry Cavill, has spoken more about the injury he sustained whilst filming the second season of Netflix’s fantasy series “The Witcher”.

The actor revealed to THR last week that he sustained a hamstring injury whilst shooting a woodland scene, one that was so severe it could’ve ended his action career permanently:

“It was a very, very bad tear, and I was very lucky that it wasn’t a complete detachment of the hamstring… The difficulty was working while I was injured. Because I wanted to do more for the production – I know how important it was for them to get stuff done.

So it was having to find that balance between, ‘Yes, let’s push, push, push,’ and, ‘Whoa, hold on, if I tear this further, it’s the end of my action career.’ That was my worst moment of the past year – professionally.”

Cavill has no shortage of action roles coming up with Matthew Vaughn’s currently filming spy thriller “Argylle” and a reboot of the “Highlander” film franchise on the way along with more seasons of “The Witcher”.
